Heaven gained an Angel Thursday, (June 23, 2016) when Nancy Diane Moots, 67, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Nancy was born May 21, 1949 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Thomas Fillson and Doris Lucile (Fortney) Moots. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents and one sister, Martha Lou.

Nancy is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Roger Gillum of Kirksville, MO; niece, Tracy Snowbarger and husband Allen, as well as two great nephews, Riley and Tyler Snowbarger, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nancy attended Special Needs school for children and was a chartered member of Sheltered Work Shop in Kirksville where she worked thirty years.

Nancy loved people and was taken care of by people who loved her the past twelve years while residing at Kirksville Manor Care Center. She always enjoyed the activities and loved her Birthday each year when celebrated with her family and many friends. She also enjoyed snapping beans and listening to music.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (June 26, 2016) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Larry Gibson officiating. Music selections, "Jesus Loves Me" and "In the Garden" will be provided by Janice Mitten. Interment will follow the service at Refuge Cemetery northeast of Kirksville.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26, 2016, for one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tom Mitten, John Gillum, Allen Snowbarger, Dennis Phelps, Mike O'Brien, Jamie Logan, Larry Hayton and Doug Athon.
