Frances Catherine (Rummerfield) Fox, 77, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, (April 24, 2016) at her home.
The daughter of Cleetis Gale and Hazel May (Mason) Rummerfield, she was born February 11, 1939 in Kirksville, Missouri. On November 16, 1957 in Kirksville, Missouri, Frances was united in marriage to Larry Roger Fox.
Frances is survived by her husband Larry of fifty-eight years; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and LeAnn Fox of LeClaire, IA and Larry Keith and Chrystal Fox of Kirksville, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, LaDonna and Danny Williams of Kirksville, MO and Sharla and Donnie Jones of LeClaire, IA; one brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Vickie Rummerfield of Kirksville, MO; three sisters, Donna Puffinbarger of Floris, IA, and Doris Smith and Dorothy Fullmer both of Bettendorf, IA; eleven grandchildren, Justin Fox, Jessica (Hayden) Carter, Jason (Amy) Fox, Jami (Steve) Lawrence, Katie (Luis) Mendez, Matthew (Kristie) Williams, Christopher Williams and fiancée Tamisha Morton, Jeremiah Jones, Jacob Jones, Abigail Jones and Jared Jones; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws Alice Fox and Betty Fox both of Kirksville, MO; brothers-in-law, Robert "Bob" Fox of Kirksville, MO and Clarence Fox of SanAntonio, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Rummerfield in infancy and three brothers, Albert, Doren and Arzy Rummerfield.
Frances was a graduate from Brashear High School with the Class of 1957. She was employed with Missouri State Teachers College, Lambert Glove Factory and for Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital as a switch board operator and clerk. She was last employed at Florsheim Shoe Factory until 1986 when her health failed.
Frances loved crocheting, ceramics, sewing, flower gardening, and following the St. Louis Cardinals. She will be remembered for being a social butterfly with a great smile and personality.
Frances was a previous member of Women of the Moose and attended Decker Chapel in Kirksville.
Public visitation will be held Tuesday (April 26, 2016) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (April 27, 2016) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Reverend Carl Begley officiating. Music will be provided by her special friends, Frank and Vickie Williams. Interment will follow the service at Willmathsville Cemetery in Willmathsville, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Jason Fox, Matthew Williams, Christopher Williams, Justin Fox, Jeremiah Jones, Jacob Jones and Jared Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Gonda Maning, Shuri Stonecipher, Sheila Smith, Linda Smith, Murl Lusher and Randy Singleton.
