Rocky Lane Hale, 67, of Kirksville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at his home.

Rocky was born in Kirksville on March 17, 1957 the son of Joshua Chester and Billie Jean (Whitaker) Hale.

Rocky is survived by his companion of more than thirty years, Sharon Reese; two brothers, Rick (Teresa) Hale of Kirksville and Randy (Kandy) Hale of Milan, MO; one sister-in-law, Karen Hale of Milan, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dean Hale.

Rocky graduated high school from Green City High School with the Class of 1975. He lived most of his life in Sullivan and Adair counties. Rocky worked for Smithfield Foods for many years.

Rocky lived a quiet life working and helping on the family farm. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed socializing with friends and telling stories. He never met someone who didn't like him.

Rocky was cremated and a graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Green City, Missouri.
