Leroy A. Easley 85 of Novelty, Missouri passed away Sunday October 29, 2023 at his home. The son of the late Grover and Dora (Perry) Easley. Leroy was born March 12, 1938 in Novelty, Missouri. On September 4, 1965 in Kirksville, Missouri. Leroy was united in marriage to Sandra Cora Lee.

Leroy is survived by his wife Sandra (Sandy) of fifty-eight years. Two sons and two daughters Jeffrey (Jeff) Easley of La Plata, MO, Sherry (Jeff) Hagar of Kirksville, MO, Kelly (Amy) Easley of Millersburg, MO and Cindy (Jerry) Juergens of Cedar Rapids, IA. Sisters MaryBelle Ross of Edina, MO, Shirley (Bill) Dobbs of Hurdland, MO and Kathryn Whitlock of Anchorage, AK. Eleven grandchildren Cameron O’Haver, Tiffany Easley (Tyler Armstrong), Kaitley (Matt) Teter, Joey Hagar (Bailey Cox), Gavin Easley (Sydnye Heffley), Gareth Easley, Haley Juergens (Jacob Lindauer), Adriane Cole (Shane Finn), Alex (Sammi) Juergens, Brayden Cole and Austin Juergens (Delaynee Slouha). Three great grandchildren Stella Armstrong, Olivia Armstrong and Sutton Teter and several other family members.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, brother Ray Easley, brother Perry Easley and grandson Liam Douglas Easley.

Leroy was a graduate from Novelty High School with the class of 1955. He proudly served his country for fourteen years with the Missouri Army National Guard. Rank of Captain commanding over the Kirksville and Mexico MO units. Also, a Captain and founding member of the Northeast Missouri Civil Air Patrol. Leroy worked on the family farms his entire life. Never retiring, he combined two weeks prior to his passing. Leroy enjoyed spending time with his family, a private pilot enjoyed flying many different aircraft throughout the years, hunting, cruising with his dog Rex checking the crops and maintaining his watermelon patch.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Robert Harrison officiating. Interment will follow the services in the Locust Hill Cemetery.

A public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023 in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
