Winnie Ella (Kyser) Williams, 98, of Kirksville, Missouri went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, surrounded by family.

She was born in Mullen, NE, on December 6, 1923, the daughter of Thomas Cleveland Kyser and Julia Matilda (Marsh) Kyser. On July 21, 1945, she married Robert LaVerne Williams at West Avenue Methodist Church, La Crosse, Wisconsin. They were married for 70 years. To this union three children were born, Thomas, Herbert, and Janice.

Surviving are son Tom (Marvina ) Williams of Lee’s Summit, MO; daughter Janice Williams of Kirksville, MO; and daughter-in-law Connie (Joe) Bleything of Brashear MO; grandchildren John Williams of Wayland, MO; Doug Anderson of Greentop, MO; Melissa (Ryan) Snelling of Brashear, MO; and Jennifer Graham of Lee’s Summit, MO; great-grandchildren Hailey Lawrence and Jace Snelling of Brashear, MO; Emilee Anderson of Greentop, MO; Dylan Bowen of Denver, CO; Courtney Johnson of Harlem, GA; and Austin and Thomas Graham of Lee’s Summit, MO; Brother Donald Kyser of Melrose, WI; several nieces and nephews; and four great-great grandchildren.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Williams, son Herbert Williams, brothers and sisters Thomas Kyser, Jacob Kyser, Delila Kyser Johnson, Clara Kyser Johnson, and Rosa Mae Kyser in infancy.

Winnie received her early education in the Nebraska Public School System before moving to Wisconsin where she graduated from Melrose High School and Wisconsin Business University in La Crosse, WI.

Three years prior to marriage, Winnie worked at Service Transfer in La Crosse. After marriage, Winnie and Robert made their home in Northeast Missouri where they farmed and Robert drove a milk truck for several years. Winnie worked outside of the home in food service at Kirksville High School and Travelers Hotel. Winnie then went to work at Hollister Incorporated and after 21 years she retired.

Winnie enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. She was an excellent cook. Robert and she enjoyed traveling. She also enjoyed listening to gospel music, singing, watching sports on TV, and attending family school events. Spending time with family was important to her and gave her a lot of joy. She put family and others ahead of herself. She was a beautiful person and had a wonderful sense of humor. Winnie will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Travis Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Maple Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Travis Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be: Doug Anderson, Doug Billington, Austin Graham, Thomas Graham, Jace Snelling, and Ryan Snelling.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Larry Baker, Ron Baker, Melvin Bunch, Keith Jerome, Lane Stutsman, John Williams, and Kyser Descendants.

Memorials in memory of Winnie are suggested to the Church of God (Holiness) and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
