Glen Darrell Sallade, 86, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of Charles William and Fern Ruth (Johnson) Sallade, Glen was born November 27, 1931 in Shibley's Point, Missouri. On April 2, 1949 in Centerville, Iowa, Glen was united in marriage to Faye Ellsworth.

Glen is survived by his wife Faye of sixty-nine years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Russell Tarr of Greentop, MO and Tracy and Mark Robinson of Platte City, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Evelyn Sallade of St. Charles, MO; two brothers-in-law, Leslie Ellsworth and Dean and Bebe Ellsworth all of Novinger, MO; four sisters-in-law, Norma Robinson and Joanne and Joe Seay all of Kirksville, MO, Kay Sallade of LaPlata, MO, and Shirley Sallade of Wentzville, MO; four grandchildren, Samuel (Lisa) Tarr, Shawn (Kristal) Tarr, Gabby Robinson, and Dakota Robinson; three great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Hayden and Hunter Tarr, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gary and Jack Sallade.

Glen was a graduate from Novinger R-I School. He was employed twenty-two years delivering milk for Meadow Gold. Glen enjoyed going to antique auctions and refinishing furniture, watching NBA Basketball, collecting coins and could fix and repair most anything. Most of all Glen loved his family deeply and cherished the time he spent with them. His family will remember him as being a loving husband, fun dad, and proud grandfather and great-grandfather, that would do anything for his family.

Glen was a member of the Novinger Methodist Church and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge of Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Leslie Richmond officiating. Interment will follow the service at Shibley's Point Cemetery, northwest of Novinger, Missouri.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 3rd for one hour before service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Sam Tarr, Shawn Tarr, Sawyer Tarr, Dakota Robinson, Hayden Tarr and Hunter Tarr.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Glen Sallade may be made to Shibley's Point Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
