Thomas Michael Corbett, 70, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday (April 4, 2017) at his home.

Born March 4, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, Tom was the son of the late Michael and Betty (Murphy) Corbett. On August 6, 1988 in Greentop, Missouri, Tom was united in marriage to Sherri Hill who preceded him in death on December 24, 2005.

Tom is survived by four children, Shawn and Eric Corbett, and Chris and Becca Hill; two sisters, Ceil Fredlund and Cindy Cannon; three grandchildren, Devan Corbett, Michael Corbett, and Kaylee Koch, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Tom earned both a Bachelor and Master's degree at Kirksville State Teachers College and had a forty-seven year teaching career.

Tom has been cremated and a 6:00 p.m. graveside memorial service will be held at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville, on Thursday, April 13, 2017 under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
