David Lee Munn, 84, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at his home under the care of Hospice and family by his side.

Born September 7, 1932 in Kirksville, Missouri, David was the son of the late Everett and Mary Alberta (Shoemaker) Munn. On October 31, 1952 in Macon, Missouri, David was united in marriage to Annalee Sumpter who preceded him in death on November 18, 1993.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Everett Murrell Munn, Harold Dean Munn, Daniel Dennis Munn and two in infancy; one sister, Ecil Jeanette Hutcheson; and two grandchildren, Rachel Findling and Jared Gregory.

David is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Debbie Munn and Terry and Mary Munn all of Kirksville, MO; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Deborah and Bill Gregory of LaPlata, MO, Becky and Chris Snyder of Kirksville, MO, Sharon Munn of Novinger, MO, and Brenda Durham and fiancée Donald Erwin of Kirksville, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Janice Munn of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Lois Baugher of Kirksville, MO; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

David received his education in the Troy Mills rural school. He was employed a number of years at McGraw Edison Company in Kirksville.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, Indy 500 races, country music and following the Cardinal baseball team. He also enjoyed spending time with his two dogs.

He was a devoted and loving father and will be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kirksville with Elder Evan Foreman presiding. Family will receive friends starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall.

Graveside services will follow at the Prough Cemetery, west of Kirksville, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Prough Cemetery and may be left at the Kingdom Hall or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home at P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501, who is in charge of funeral arrangements.
