William Wesley West Sr., entered into his final resting place February 28, 2017 while a resident of Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville.

Born September 7, 1949 in Putnam County, Missouri, Bill was the son of the late Aubrey and Iva (Garr) West.

Bill was a graduate from Unionville High School with the Class of 1968. He moved to Des Moines, Iowa, and later moved to Minnesota where he worked at Goodyear for thirty plus years before being promoted to management with Goodyear where he worked until retiring.

Bill liked playing baseball with his sibling and hunting arrowheads and fishing. Bill loved life to the fullest and loved teasing and playing jokes on his family.

Bill believed in Jesus his Savior and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bill was united in marriage to Wilma M. Downen in 1968 and was blessed with three children, William West Jr., Jamie West, and Heather (West) McKim. He later married Angela Biehn and was blessed with three children, Hannah, Ben, and Carson West.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Iva West, and three brothers, Dwaine West, Cloyd West, and Jerry West.

He is survived by his children, Bill West Jr., Jamie and (Martha) West, Heather (Chuck) McKim, Hannah, Ben, and Carson West; his grandchildren, Amber Lynn, Jacob McKim, Branden West, and Austin West; several brothers and sisters, Edwin and Barb West of OK, Eva Mae and Keith McCoughey of IA, Larry West of IA, Elmer and Kathy West of IA, Linn and Linda West of IA, Faye Clark and Kevin of IA, Linda and Jeff Cox of IA; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Bill has been cremated and a memorial service to honor his life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
