Darrell Wayne Sizemore Sr., 74, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday (February 12, 2017) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of the late David Edward and Dovie Opal (Jackson) Sizemore, he was born July 24, 1942 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Darrell is survived by four sons, Darrell (Norma) Sizemore of Columbia, MO, Jerry (Susie) Sizemore of Kirksville, MO, Jay Sizemore of Kirksville, MO, and Michael Raine of Troy, MO; four daughters, Melissa Humphrey of Kansas City, MO, Jennifer Sizemore of Kirksville, MO, Sharon Sizemore of Kirksville, MO, and Sheila Cossel of IA; one brother, Butch VanDyke of Kirksville, MO; three sisters, Margie Sizemore of Jefferson City, MO, Clara Mae Stewart of Kirksville, MO, and Betty Keller of New Mexico; seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Darrell was preceded in death by his father, David Sizemore and his mother, Dovie Van Dyke; one daughter, Karen Sizemore; two brothers, James and Marvin Sizemore, and one sister Mildred Meese.

Darrell received his education in the Kirksville public schools. He worked in construction for several construction companies throughout the years.

Darrell enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to gun shows.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday (February 17, 2017) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Todd officiating. Interment will follow the service at Forest Llewellyn Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Sizemore Jr., Jay Sizemore, Troy Christman, Jerad Humphrey, Joe Catron, and Jamie Sizemore. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Van Dyke, Jerry Sizemore, Darrrell Sizemore III, and Terry Crume.

Family will receive friends on Friday (February 17, 2017) from noon to service time at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
