Richard Amos "Dick" Reno, 64, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away Sunday (June 26, 2016) at St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri.

The son of Clarence Harold and Bessie Louise (Sparks) Reno, he was born January 8, 1952 in Quincy, Illinios. On March 25, 1972 in Queen City, Missouri, Dick was united in marriage to Glenda Sue Long.

Dick is survived by his wife Sue; two sons, Scott Reno and wife Christina of O'Fallon, MO, and Bryan Reno of Hazelwood, MO; two sisters, Janet Schwartz and husband Raymond of Kirksville, MO, and Brenda Reil of Kirksville, MO; two grandsons, Zane and Jet Reno, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Dick was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the class of 1970. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and retired after twenty years of service. Dick moved back to Kirksville, where he lived a number of years before moving to Wentzville, Missouri, where he resided for the last 12 years.

Dick loved tinkering on lawn mowers and bicycles. He was a life long member of the VFW post 2508 in Kirksville.

Funeral services with military rites will be held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday (June 29, 2016) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Virgil Jones officiating. A public visitation will be held immediately following the service until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

It was Dick's wish to be cremated with burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501
