Charles Everett Williams, 77, of Kirksville, Missouri went to sleep peacefully Sunday (April 3, 2016) in his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

The son of Roy Freeman Williams and Laura Marguerite (Rice) Williams, Charles was born December 6, 1938 in Adair County, Missouri. On December 24, 1961, Charles was united in marriage to Rosana Kay Bergmeier and to this union five children were born.

Charles is survived by his wife Rosana, three sons, Michael Freeman Williams, Jonathan Wayne Williams and wife Kelly of Kirksville, Missouri, Robert Leon Williams and wife Becca of Davenport, Iowa; three grandchildren, Cody Lee, Allison Jo, Annie Marguerite Williams and two step-grandchildren Kayne and Karver Burgess. Also surviving him is his sister Alice Findling, one niece and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Sherrie Lynne Williams in infancy and one son Anthony Adam Williams in infancy.

Charles was raised in Adair County, graduating from Kirksville High School Class of 1956. He did construction work for many years and farmed. He loved working with his hands and could build or fix anything. His biggest joy came from helping others and he never met a stranger.

Charles was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He sought the will of his Father in heaven and was a constant prayer warrior for others.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Gibson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the Refuge Cemetery near Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Terry Thomas, Chris Harrison, Jay Findling, Walter Harris, Nate Byers and Rusty Wilson.
