Elaine Mary (Kloberdanz) Kuttenkuler, 51, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Monday (May 4, 2015) at Boone Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, Missouri.

The daughter of John and Kathleen (Marley) Kloberdanz, she was born October 1, 1963 in Osage, Iowa. On June 6, 1992 in Kansas City, Missouri, Elaine was united in marriage to Steven H. Kuttenkuler.

Elaine is survived by her husband Steve of the home; three daughters, Katie, Abby and Christy all of the home; her mother, Cassie Kloberdanz of Osage, IA; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Kuttenkuler of Tipton, MO; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Star Ann Kloberdanz, Mark and Nan Kloberdanz, Don and Linda Kloberdanz, Tom and Karen Kloberdanz and Dan and Debbie Kloberdanz; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Denny Bray, Jean and Ray Stockdale and Sally and Dale Jenkins, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her father; one nephew, Michael Kloberdanz; father-in-law, Charlie Kuttenkuler, and two brothers-in-law, Jim Kuttenkuler and Randy Garber.

Elaine was a graduate from Osage High School in Osage, Iowa, with the Class of 1982, and went on to receive a Bachelors degree in Social Work at the University of Iowa. She then was employed several years for Kemper Financial Services in Kansas City. In 2002 she and Steve moved to Kirksville and they started operating Med Depot where she worked as the bookkeeper.

Elaine enjoyed crocheting, baking, planning events and parties, and attending all of her daughters' activities. Elaine was a very loving wife and mother and will be remembered for always putting her family first and for being a most giving person.

Elaine was a member of Home and School Association and of the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Kirksville.

Public visitation will be held Wednesday (May 6, 2015) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday (May 7, 2015) at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville, with Father Chris Cordes presiding.

Her nephews will be pallbearers.

Elaine will be cremated following Mass and will be interred 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (May 9, 2015) at St. Andrews Cemetery in Tipton, Missouri.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Elaine Kuttenkuler may be made to the Mary Immaculate Catholic Grade School. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.

Dear Cassie and Family of Elaine, I am so sorry to hear of Elaine's untimely passing. I remember her as a child and teenager. She was such a special young lady. You have my deepest sympathy.
