Lindell Ray "Butch" Estes, 65, of Hurdland, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (October 6, 2015) at his home.

The son of Leborn and Sara Mae (Bratcher) Estes he was born June 25, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas. His parents have preceded him in death.

Butch is survived by one son Lindell Lenny Estes Jr. of Collinsville, IL; two daughters, Tracy Lynn Horn of St. Charles, MO and Crystal Mae Estes of Hurdland, MO; two brothers, Randall Gale Estes of Marmaduke, AR and Gary Lynn Estes of Hurdland, MO; one sister, Patsy Coley of McDougal, AR; five grandchildren, Tanner and Gracie Wilkerson of St. Charles, MO, Reese Horn of St. Charles, MO, Nic Hager of Collinsville, IL, and Cameron Worthington of Hurdland, MO; one aunt, Pauline Oliver of Rector, AR, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.

Butch served in the United States Marines during Vietnam, receiving a Purple Heart as well as other medals. He was a truck driver a number of years and was a member of Teamster's Union Local 600. Butch was also a member of the Patriot Guard and Freedom of the Road Riders. At the time of his death Butch was Mayor of Hurdland.

Butch enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and loved his "Lily".

Public visitation is in progress and family will receive friends this evening, Thursday (October 8, 2015) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday (October 9, 2015) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
