Beverly Jean (Lightfoot) Findling, 76, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday (May 22, 2014) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The daughter of Leman and Deloris (Shipley) Lightfoot, she was born August 27, 1937 in Salina, Kansas. On December 19, 1954 in Unionville, Missouri, Beverly was united in marriage to R.L. “Tex” Findling.

Beverly is survived by her husband Tex of fifty-nine years; one son, Curtis L. Findling of Kirksville, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Moyne Anne and Denny Croxford of Great Falls, MT; one grandson, Jason Findling and wife Brandy of Waynsville, MO; one great-granddaughter, Felecity J. Findling of Waynesville, MO; one sister-in-law, Lee Coy of Green Castle, MO; one brother-in-law, Charles Findling of Atlanta, MO, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Beverly received her education at Unionville public school and was a graduate from Kirksville High School. In 1957, Beverly began working along side of her husband Tex as an auction clerk, working a total of fifty-seven years at his auction company (Tex Findling Auctions). She was an avid auction fan and loved to collect antiques. Beverly also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

Beverly was a past member of the Unionville Christian Church.

It was Beverly’s wish to be cremated and a memorial service to honor her life will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (May 28, 2014) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with a Eulogy given by her brother-in-law, Denny Croxford. Interment will be held at a later date at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday (May 28, 2014) for on hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.

Sorry for the loss. I didn't know her but I do know Jason, because he is my step nephew and Felicity is my great niece. Love to all.
