James Ernest Hutcheson, 75, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday (November 4, 2014) at his home.

The son of Russell Edgar and Lillie Winifred (Fiscus) Hutcheson, he was born July 21, 1939 in Kirksville, Missouri. On September 22, 1962 in Kirksville, Missouri, James was united in marriage to Jeanette Munn who preceded him in death on January 8, 2010.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael Hutcheson; one grandson, Colton Wayne Carvitto and one sister, Sharon Ann in infancy.

James is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Mike VanHara and Gina and Tom Carvitto all of Kirksville, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Willa Mae Hutcheson of Kirksville, MO; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Jolene Christopher of Alabama, Karen and Sammie Davis of Kirksville, MO, Debbie Hurley and Bill Shoush of Kirksville, MO and Rebecca Hutcheson of Kirksville, MO; five grandchildren, Amber Bowen and husband Joshua, Dustin Hubbard and Adam Hubbard all of Kirksville, MO, Megan Carvitto and Andrew Carvitto both of Kirksville, MO; four great-grandchildren, Bryston and Bailey Bowen, Karleigh White and Luke Hubbard, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

James resided most of his life in Adair County. He served in the United States Army. After returning home James began working at the family heating and air-conditioning business. James was last employed for Vance Myers at Airco Heating & Cooling until retiring.

James enjoyed fishing and hunting but most of all he loved his time spent with his family and grandchildren.

It was James wish to be cremated and his family will receive friends Sunday (November 9, 2014) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Graveside services will be held at later date.
