Freda Lucille (Roberts) Iaiser, 91, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013, at the Alpine Living Center in Thorton, Colorado.

The daughter of Lyle and Fannie (Bell) Roberts, she was born February 25, 1922 in Kirksville, Missouri. In October of 1941, Freda was united in marriage to Willard Raymond Iaiser who preceded her in death in 1978.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Goldie Mullanix and Mabel Gregory.

Freda is survived by four daughters, Marilyn Kaye Cody of Yonkers, NY, Linda Trujillo of Commerce City, CO, Brenda Sue Edwards and husband, Robert of Thorton, CO and Deborah Jo (Iaiser) Anderson of Thorton, CO; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

Freda was a lifelong resident of Kirksville, graduating from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1940. Freda sold Stanley home products for a number of years and had many parties in Kirksville and surrounding areas. Most of her career she worked at Sears until her retirement at which time she became interested in genealogy. She has donated many of her genealogy albums to the Adair County Public Library.

Public visitation will be held Thursday (September 12, 2013) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday (September 13, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Dan Todd officiating. Music selections “Precious Memories” and “How Great Thou Art” will be provided by Twila Jones, who will be accompanied by Dianthe Cable, organist. Interment will follow the service at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Cody, Robert Edwards, Neil McMann, LaVerne Mahurin, Dick Gregory and Donald Gregory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Freda Iaiser may be made to the Adair County Public Library. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
