Ramah Lee (Jones) Stanek, 89, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Friday (April 5, 2013) at Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville.

The daughter of Grover Wilson and Ruth Marie (Daniels) Jones, she was born November 11, 1923 in Pure Air, Missouri. On January 22, 1941, in Kirksville, Missouri, Ramah was united in marriage to Stanley Stanek who preceded her in death on February 21, 2004.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Darrell Jones; four brothers-in-law, Wilford Douglas, Donald Daniels, Donald Casey and Augustine Stanek; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jones, Wanda Ronchetto, Martha Mendenhall and Flossie Stanek; one niece, Becky Flanagan, and three nephews, Denny Jones, Johnnie Ronchetto and Bill Hudson.

Ramah is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Sharon Jones of Kirksville, MO; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Louise and Bill Buress of Kirksville, MO, and Clara Daniels and Laura Casey both of Novinger, MO, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Ramah was a lifelong resident of Adair County and received her education in the Golden Rule rural school. She was employed twenty years at McGraw Edison, in Kirksville, Missouri until retiring in 1975. Ramah enjoyed working in her yard, in her flower beds and working with ceramics. She will be remembered for being a wonderful cook, for her spotless home, and for the love of her family.

Ramah was an avid supporter of Novinger Renewal and volunteer of her community. She was also a member of the Novinger Baptist Church of Novinger.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (April 9, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Darrell Crooks officiating. Music selections, “One Day at a Time” and “Precious Memories” will be provided by Twila Jones who will be accompanied by Dianthe Cable, organist. Interment will follow the service at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday (April 9, 2013) one hour before the service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Jones, David Daniels, Danny Daniels, Roger Casey, Zach Coy and Andy Grgurich.
