Jeri Lynn (Pennock) Parker, 57, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday (September 26, 2012) at her home under Hospice care.

The daughter of Russell Clair and Marjorie Lucille (Pitzer) Pennock, she was born December 31, 1954 in Worland, Wyoming. On May 1, 1991 in LaPlata, Missouri, Jeri was united in marriage to James M. Parker.

Jeri is survived by her husband Jim; two sons, Russell Sandoval and special friend, Kayla Moots, and Richard Parker all of Kirksville, MO; one brother, John Pennock of Sheridan, WY; one sister, Jan Martinson of Kirksville, MO; one nephew, Sam Martinson of Kirksville, MO; one niece Becky Shirk and husband, Russell of San Diego, CA; two great-nieces, Beth and Sami Shirk, and one grandson, Layton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jeri was raised in Worland, Wyoming and was a graduate from Worland High School with the Class of 1973. She then attended cosmetology school in Longmont, Colorado. She later worked for Sherwood Industries and last was employed for IBM. After moving to Kirksville, MO in 1992, Jeri was employed at Adair Foods until suffering a stroke in 2002.

Her hobbies included crafts, fishing and cooking. She had a great love for her pets, especially Max who was always by her side during her illness.

Jeri was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with them.

Jeri’s wish was to be cremated and a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday (September 30, 2012) in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Chaplain Carol Davenport presiding. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends one hour before the Memorial Service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home on Sunday (September 30, 2012).
