Linda Kay Pickett, 64, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Monday (December 19, 2011) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The daughter of Sterling A. and Inez Lee (Moore) Gregory, she was born September 27, 1947 in Edina, Missouri. In 1967, Linda was united in marriage to Cleo Eugene McFarland and to this union, two children were born. On June 2, 1978, in Kirksville, Missouri, Linda married Harold “Junior” Pickett who preceded her in death on October 22, 2007.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Linda is survived by two daughters, Teresa McFarland of Novinger, MO and Christina Wiggins and husband Robert of Columbia, MO; two sons, Shott Pickett and wife Brook of Kirksville, MO and Billy Pickett of Novinger, MO; two step-sons, Thad Pickett and wife Veronica of Pella, IA and Neil Pickett and wife Pamela of Columbia, MO; four step-daughters, Debbie Applegate and husband Jim of Kirksville, MO, Lisa Frank and husband Peanut, Susan Hamilton and husband Kurt and Radonna Daniels and husband Thad all of LaPlata, MO and one sister, Helen Lee Steffen and husband William C. of LaBelle, MO. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Sabrina Jones, Tiffany Busch and husband Allen, Andrew Jones and Tanya Wiggins, as well as twelve step-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

Linda was a graduate from the LaBelle High School with the Class of 1964. She resided in Novinger, Missouri, a number of years where she was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, antiques, playing Bingo and she was skilled a Crocheting. She loved making crafts and through the years had a booth at area craft shows.

Public visitation will be held Wednesday (December 21, 2011) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday (December 22, 2011) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Jeff Dodson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Andy Jones, Jeremy Sullivan, Brett Steele, Thad Pickett, Thomas Miller, Curtiss Kellison. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Busch, Steven Cunningham, Jason Humphrey and Michael Jones.
