Tom Scofield, 66, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Kirksville, passed away unexpectedly, Monday (June 15, 2015) in Columbia.

The son of Floyd Curtis and Lillian Elizabeth (Kogen) Scofield, he was born February 15, 1949 in Kirksville, Missouri. On December 5, 1981 in Kirksville, Tom was united in marriage to Lorraine Medina who survives.

Tom is also survived by one daughter, Tierra Christine (Scofield) Hagan of Columbia, MO; two sisters, Sandy Lea Scofield of Kirksville, MO and Carol Sharpe of the State of Mississippi; four grandchildren, Tyler Christine (Scofield) Hagan, Kruze Bradley (Scofield) Hagan, Jagger Thomas (Scofield) Hagan and Jett Walker (Scofield) Hagan, as well as two nephews, Sean Bartlett and Ian Ballard; one niece, Samantha Adams; and one aunt, Mable Waddill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle Chet Waddill.

Tom was a graduate from Kirksville High School and attended college at Northeast Missouri State University. He owned his own body shop, Auggies Bar and Grill, Uncle Sams Military Surplus and sponsored several little league ball teams in Kirksville for a number of years and loved corvette's.

Tom had a great love for his daughter and followed her wherever she was throughout her life. He also loved his grandchildren and was very active in their lives.

Tom has been cremated and his family will receive friends Friday (July 3, 2015) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
