Cecil Wayne Wright Jr., 70, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday (June 29, 2014) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of Cecil Wayne and Verla Belle (Davidson) Wright, he was born September 29, 1943 in Kirksville, Missouri. In May of 1972, Cecil was married to Marva Powell and to this union three sons were born.

Cecil is survived by his mother, Verna Belle Wright of Kirksville, MO; three sons, David Wright of Colorado, John Wright of Kirksville, MO and Timothy Wright of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Judy Hamilton and husband Randy of Kirksville, MO; three grandchildren, Allison, Dillion and Autumn Wright; one niece, one nephew and several cousins.

Cecil was preceded in death by his father.

Cecil was a graduate from Kirksville High School and attended Northeast Missouri State University. He was employed for Truman State University thirty years until retiring.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday (July 2, 2014) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Sheila Swafford officiating. Interment will follow the service at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Brian Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Norman Davidson, Melvin Bissey, Ralph Laird and Marty Davidson.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday (July 2, 2014) for one hour before service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
