Ronnie Eugene Partin, 60, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, (March 28, 2014) at his home.

The son of Douglas Eugene and Wilma Louise (Morris) Partin, he was born July 26, 1953 in Kirksville, Missouri. On April 7, 2001 in Queen City, Missouri, Ronnie was united in marriage to Ellen Claybrook.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Ellen of the home; his mother, Wilma Partin of Queen City, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Robert Farley of Lancaster, MO; two sons and daughters-in-law, Shannon and Julie Partin of Downing, MO and Cameron and Kelli Partin of Novinger, MO; one step son, Darren Claybrook of Kirksville, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Laura Partin of Queen City, MO; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Cathy and Ron Kerby of Kirksville, MO, Terri and Leroy Yearns of Queen City, MO, Beth Bray and friend Bill Acton of Greentop, MO and Denise and Ron McMillian of Noble, OK; nine grandchildren, Meagan Chancellor and husband John, Melody Farley, Josie Farley, Coy Farley, Laney Partin, Weston Byrn, Jed Partin, Nolan Partin and Lily Partin, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and close friends, Larry Keim and Rick Hodges.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and close friend, Larry Waddle.

Ronnie was a graduate from Queen City High School. He worked at MFA in Lancaster, Westerns Meat Market and for Partin Grocery. Ronnie starting working in 1988 at TSU where he was employed until retiring in January 2013, working in the boiler room and then transferred to the physical plant as grounds keeper. Prior to that, Ronnie worked as a farm hand, at Kelly Furniture and the Creamery until it closed. Upon retirement, Ronnie worked part-time at Oats, Inc.

Ronnie was a member of Queen City Christian Church and volunteered as a 4-H Leader, was a member of 66 Wranglers Saddle Club in Queen City and Kirksville Moose Lodge #1751, loved his horses, roping and trail rides. He volunteered a number of years with Girls and Boys Town of St. James, MO, going on numerous trail rides across the State of Missouri. He also volunteered a number of years for Pioneer Days of Queen City where he operated the stage coach.

Ronnie enjoyed nature and being outside, enjoyed camping with our friends and spending time with family. He was best known for his sense of humor, laughter, and many memorable moments with family and friends.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday (April 1, 2014) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Ronnie has been cremated and a memorial service to honor his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (April 2, 2014) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Fugate Cemetery near Greentop, Missouri.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Keim, Darrell Hill, Brett Kiocke, Jim Keim, Wade Reese, Ched Bull, Rick Hodges, Bob Lee and Dennis Hodges.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Ronnie Partin may be made to Boys and Girls Town or to the Queen City Christian Church. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
