Patricia Ann Stokes, 75, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday (November 7, 2014) at Kirksville Manor Care Center.

The daughter of Ralph Russell and Katherine Pauline (Dunn) Spriggs, she was born February 25, 1939 in Kirksville, Missouri. On August 10, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri, Patricia was united in marriage to Owen Donald Stokes Sr. who preceded her in death February 4, 2011.

Patricia is survived by son David Russell Stokes and wife Evelyn of Worthington, MO; daughter Dawn Ann Pinkerton of Greentop, MO; two sisters, Vicki Small of Arbela MO and Sandra Boyer of the state of Texas; six grandchildren, Drew Donald Heller, Brennen Russell Heller, Laith William Travis Heller, Johnathon Atto, Tiffany Atto and Tammy Gaugh; and six great grandchildren, Jordan, Erin, Jason, Ayden, Emily and Anna.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Owen Donald Stokes Sr.; one son, Owen Donald Stokes Jr. in infancy; one brother, Donnie Spriggs; and one brother-in-law, John Knight.

Patricia resided her entire life in Adair County. She was an antique dealer from 1983 through 2011 and a member of the Northeast Missouri Antique Dealer Association. Patricia enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Public visitation is in progress and the family will receive friends this evening, Monday (November 10, 2014) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (November 11, 2014) at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Bishop Colin Sorhus officiating. Musical selections will be “The River” and “The Dance. Interment will follow the service at Green Grove Cemetery in Novinger, MO.

Pallbearers will be Terry Blodgett, Dan Blodgett, Steve Blodgett, Jeff Knight, Jim Allen and Randy Allen.
