Pauline H. (Garwood) White, 90, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (November 25, 2014) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The daughter of Arza and Lydia (Scobee) Garwood, she was born September 10, 1924 in Kirksville, Missouri. On August 2, 1941, Pauline was united in marriage to Leland White who preceded her in death on September 30, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and one sister.

Pauline is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Albert and Bonnie White of Fulton, MO and Michael and Edena White of Indianola, IA; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Steven, Thad, Michelle, Jason and Ryan, and three great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jeffrey and Phoenix.

Pauline was born and raised most of her life in Kirksville, most recently at Fjeld Arms, where she enjoyed many caring neighbors and friends. Pauline and Leland lived on farms at Jacksonville and LaPlata, and she operated the LaPlata Motel for several years.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday (November 29, 2014) at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating.

No public visitation will be held and arrangements are being taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
