Emma Mrytle Weber

Emma Myrtle Weber, 80, of Clyde, Texas, formerly of Yarrow, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (June 28, 2011) at her home.

Born May 8, 1931, near Lanton, Missouri, in the Howell Township in Howell County, she was the daughter of Ward and Murtie (Roberson) Payton. On July 18, 1950 in Pulaski, Iowa, Emma was united in marriage to Gail Weber.

Emma is survived by her husband, Gail of Clyde, TX; one son, Kevin Weber and wife Wynona of Lago Vista; two sisters-in-law, Maggie Mudd and Marjorie Weber both of Kirksville, MO; two grandsons, Michael Weber of Baird and Justin Black of Houston, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Emma attended grade school in Lanton and Mt. Zion, Missouri and finished high school in Kirksville, Missouri. She then attended Abilene Commercial College. After her marriage, she and Clyde moved to Clyde, Texas in July of 1978 from Yarrow, Missouri. She was a bookkeeper, working for McGraw Edison and Sun Supply in Abilene.

She loved to paint, sew and garden and was a Baptist.

Public visitation will be held Saturday (July 2, 2011) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday (July 3, 2011) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Jeff Dodson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Union Temple Cemetery, southwest of Kirksville.
